Cookie Policy

Last updated: March 24, 2026

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Daveloper uses them only to keep you signed in and to protect your account, not to track you.

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies Daveloper.ai sets, why we set them, and what choices you have. Read it alongside our Privacy Policy.

2. Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are required for the Service to function. You cannot opt out of them without breaking core functionality.

  • Authentication session cookie. Set by our authentication system (Better Auth) when you sign in via magic link. This cookie maintains your logged-in state across requests. It is a secure, HTTP-only, same-site cookie and does not track you across other websites. It expires when you sign out or after the session timeout.
  • CSRF protection tokens. Short-lived tokens used to protect form submissions from cross-site request forgery attacks.

3. Functional Cookies

Daveloper does not set functional cookies. We remember one preference, but we store it in your browser rather than in a cookie:

  • Theme preference. If you select a light or dark theme, we store that preference in your browser's local storage so it persists across visits. It stays on your device and is not a cookie.

4. Analytics Cookies

We do not currently use any analytics cookies or third-party tracking scripts on Daveloper.ai. If we introduce analytics in the future, we will update this policy and, where required by applicable law, obtain your consent before setting such cookies.

5. Third-Party Cookies

The Service loads a JavaScript file from OpenAI's content delivery network (cdn.platform.openai.com) to power the AI chat interface. This script may set its own cookies or use browser storage mechanisms to maintain the state of the chat session. These cookies are covered by OpenAI's Privacy Policy.

We do not control third-party cookies and are not responsible for their content or how third parties use the data they collect. You can block third-party cookies in your browser settings; however, this may affect the functionality of the AI chat interface.

6. Managing Cookies

You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View the cookies stored for a specific website.
  • Delete all or specific cookies.
  • Block cookies from all or specific websites.
  • Block third-party cookies.
  • Get a notification when a cookie is set.

Blocking strictly necessary cookies (the authentication session cookie) stops you signing in or using any signed-in feature.

For guidance on managing cookies in specific browsers, please visit the browser's help documentation or a resource such as allaboutcookies.org.

7. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting that sends a signal to websites indicating you do not wish to be tracked. Because we do not currently use tracking or analytics cookies, our Service does not change its behavior in response to DNT signals. We will revisit this if we introduce analytics in the future.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as our use of cookies changes or as required by applicable law. We will post any updates on this page and revise the "last updated" date. For significant changes, we may also notify you via email.

9. Contact
