Refund Policy

1. Our Credit Model

Daveloper.ai operates on a prepaid credit model. You purchase credits in advance, and those credits are consumed as AI tasks run on the platform. Each task deducts credits at the point of execution, not at the point of completion. This policy governs your rights to refunds for credit purchases and credit consumption.

2. Non-Refundable Credits

Credits that have been consumed by completed or attempted AI tasks are non-refundable. This applies regardless of whether you were satisfied with the output, because the computational resources required to run the task are expended at the time of execution.

The following are also non-refundable:

  • Welcome or promotional credit allocations provided to new accounts at no charge.
  • Credits consumed prior to an account suspension or termination resulting from a violation of our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy.
  • Credits that expire due to account closure initiated by you.
  • Any credit purchases made more than 90 days before the refund request is submitted, except where required by applicable law.

3. Eligible Refund Exceptions

We will consider a refund in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service error. A technical error on our side caused credits to be deducted without any AI task being initiated or any output being delivered, and the error is confirmed by our engineering team.
  • Duplicate charge. You were charged more than once for the same credit purchase due to a payment processing error.
  • Unauthorized purchase. A credit purchase was made from your account without your authorization, provided you notify us promptly and cooperate with any investigation.

To be eligible, all refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of the event giving rise to the request. We are not obligated to grant refunds for events reported outside this window, except as required by applicable law.

4. Involuntary Account Termination by Daveloper

If we terminate your account for reasons unrelated to any violation on your part, we will attempt to refund the value of any unused credit balance within 30 days of termination. Refunds in this case will be issued to the original payment method where possible, or as account credit if the original payment method is no longer available.

No refund will be issued for unused credits if your account is terminated due to a violation of our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy.

5. How to Request a Refund

To submit a refund request, email us at [email protected] with the subject line "Refund Request" and include the following information:

  • The email address associated with your Daveloper account.
  • The date and approximate time of the event giving rise to your request.
  • The amount of credits or the purchase amount affected.
  • A description of what happened and why you believe a refund is warranted.

We may ask for additional information to verify your identity or to investigate the reported issue. We will acknowledge your request within 3 business days.

6. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed within 5 to 7 business days of approval. By default, approved refunds are returned as account credits unless:

  • The refund is for a duplicate charge, in which case we will refund to the original payment method.
  • You specifically request a return to your original payment method and the refund amount qualifies under our eligible exceptions.
  • The account has been closed, in which case we will refund to the original payment method where possible.

If a refund to your original payment method is approved, please allow an additional 5 to 10 business days for the funds to appear, depending on your bank or card issuer.

7. Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Refund Policy limits or excludes any consumer rights you may have under applicable law. Residents of certain jurisdictions, including the European Union and the United Kingdom, may have statutory rights to refunds that exceed the protections described in this policy. Where such rights apply, they take precedence over this policy.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Changes will not apply retroactively to purchases made before the effective date of the revision.
