Your domain, your site.
Live in minutes.
Already own a domain? Connect it to your Daveloper site in a couple of clicks. We tell you exactly which two settings to change where you bought your domain, then we check everything's right before your site starts working at your address.
A real website at the address you already own.
A custom domain is the address you already own, like yourname.com, pointed at the site you just built. Most builders make you stare at a settings screen and guess. Daveloper is a website builder that lets you use your own domain name. We hand you the two settings to change where you bought your domain, in plain language, and verify the result before your site is reachable. You describe what you want to build, and you get a site that lives at the address you bought, not a long Daveloper address you have to explain to people.
Written to stand on its own, the way a search engine or an AI assistant would quote it.
The honest ledger.
Two columns. Read both before you decide.
When to use it
Good fitBring your own domain when...
You already own a domain from GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, or Google Domains, and you want your Daveloper site to live there.
You want your business email and your website on the same yourname.com address.
You bought a domain for a personal moment, like a wedding, a gift, or a microsite, and you want it pointing at the real site.
You're moving an existing site to Daveloper and want to keep the same URL so your existing links and search rankings don't break.
When NOT to use it
Skip a custom domain when...
You don't own a domain yet. Your Daveloper site lives at a free Daveloper-hosted address. You can connect a domain later, any time. Start with One-Prompt Mode instead.
Your domain is locked at the place you bought it, which happens with some enterprise or reseller setups. You'll need to unlock or transfer first. Contact their support.
A real custom domain at uibdoc.no.
Built for the doctoral research community at the University of Bergen. One prompt, real organization, real .no domain in the address bar.
- 01
What they typed
Awaiting capture from the UiB research community. The actual prompt they used to build uibdoc.no lands here as monospace text once permission and capture are complete.
Pending capture - 02
What Daveloper produced
A site for the research community at the University of Bergen, deployed and reachable at uibdoc.no. A real .no domain for a real organization, not a Daveloper-hosted subdomain. The two settings were changed where the domain was bought, Daveloper verified them, and the site went live on the domain the community already owned.
- 03
The deployed site
uibdoc.no. Open it in a new tab. The address bar says the customer's domain, not ours. That's the proof: a custom domain on a real organization, built from one prompt.
Concrete, observable outcomes once your domain is connected.
- 01
Your site loads at yourname.com and at www.yourname.com.
- 02
Daveloper tells you exactly which two records to add and where you bought your domain to add them.
- 03
Daveloper checks the records are right and tells you when the site is live on your domain.
- 04
The secure padlock icon works automatically. No extra step.
Three honest questions.
Three is the honest count for this page. Stuffing more would be template-fill.
Two features that work well with a custom domain.
