Think it through first.
Build with confidence.
Switch on Plan Mode and Daveloper asks a few simple questions, reads any links you share, and writes a plan. You approve the plan; only then does the work start.
A short planning conversation before any building begins.
Plan Mode is a switch inside Daveloper that turns the first part of your session into a short planning conversation. Daveloper asks a few clarifying questions, reads any links you share, and writes a plan you can read end to end before approving it. Only after you approve the plan does Daveloper plan a website and start the build. It is the right setting when your description is still fuzzy and you want to think it through first.
Written to stand on its own, the way a search engine or an AI assistant would quote it.
The honest ledger.
Two columns. Read both before you decide.
When to use it
Good fitPlan Mode is the right fit when...
Your description is still fuzzy. You know roughly what you want, but you haven't decided on the pages, the order, or the buttons or links asking visitors to do something yet.
You want Daveloper to read links first. Drop in your old site, a competitor, a style guide, or a document with your notes and have it factor those into the plan.
You're not looking for a separate website planning tool. Plan Mode is part of the builder, not a separate tool you add before the work starts.
You want a written plan to react to. Reading the plan first surfaces the small decisions early, before Daveloper spends time building the wrong thing.
When NOT to use it
Skip Plan Mode when...
You already know exactly what you want. Skip the planning step and describe the site directly. Use One-Prompt Mode instead.
You're prototyping for an internal demo where the description is "show me what's possible." One quick build teaches you more than a plan ever will.
A Plan Mode session, from fuzzy description to approved plan.
A short clip of the conversation flow. Questions in, plan out, approve, build starts.

Awaiting capture from the shared P3.7 recording session. The actual fuzzy description the user wrote lands here as monospace text once the clip and anonymisation pass are complete.

What Daveloper produced
A short plan, written out in plain English. The pages the site needs, the order they appear in, the main button or link asking visitors to do something on each one, and any details Daveloper picked up from the links the user shared. The plan sits in the chat as a single readable block, with a clear approve button at the bottom.
- 03
The deployed site
The user reads the plan, edits one line, and approves it. Daveloper starts building and the first preview link appears a moment later. The proof of Plan Mode is the conversation itself, not a separate live URL.
Concrete, observable outcomes once Plan Mode is on.
- 01
Daveloper asks a few clarifying questions before any building starts.
- 02
Any links you share are read and factored into the plan, not ignored.
- 03
You see a written plan in the chat, end to end, before any work begins.
- 04
The build only starts after you approve the plan, with one click.
Honest questions, honest answers.
Pricing, whether it is optional, and how the planning chat actually fits in.
Two features that pair with Plan Mode.
One-Prompt Mode
Describe it once and ship.
The opposite path through Daveloper. When you already know what you want, skip the planning step and describe the site directly.
